The United Kingdom Sovereignty Bill (2010) - solution to the Lisbon ratified issue

The BBC are repeating their 2005 line with immigration in every interview right now, except its the Lisbon Constitution ( obligatory reminder here of how Labour sold the country out and lied in their 2005 manifesto due to the cowardice of the leadership and preference for deceiving people and distorting the truth instead of holding a referendum. Lets never forget Labour were the traitors and the liars who sold their country out.)

However the what to do if the Poles and Czechs can't hold out is still a very real question. ( Though perhaps the BBC should note that it is one that would be answered in a Conservative manifesto once the election is called and unlike Labour we would stick to it ).

So here's my answer, which borrows a little from ideas I heard before from other Conservative politicians.

Her Majesty's Government (and won't it be great to hear those words again after all the years of Labour's stealth republicanism ) should bring forward a bill which will declare that UK sovereignty as invested by our sovereign in the UK Parliament can never be permanently transferred to other bodies without a referendum and then only for a period of 15 years after which such permission will need to be renewed. ( This would force a referendum on EU membership, NATO membership, maybe even the UN every 15 years ).

Shorter term agreements would only remain legally enforceable whilst the Parliament that had voted to lend the sovereignty was sitting and would expire automatically every general election.

Labour have sort to sell out out country on the sly, and no government of any political complexion should ever be allowed to use it temporary authority in such a way again.

That would make the subject of a great referendum !

The green shoots of spin start to get ready

So we have the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors ( who usually predict a rising property market - even just before the crash - I wonder why ? ) saying the housing market is off again ( their spokesperson almost certainly has their fingers crossed behind their back ) and the *government funded* National Institute for Economic and Social Research saying the recovery is coming. ( The Guardian and BBC are lapping this stuff up of course ).

Mean while the Bank of England hits the panic button again for another £50billion of government spending - sorry Quantitative easing due to the their view that UK recession "appears to have been deeper than previously thought".

The Bank of England is not independent - its board have been appointed under Labour.

What Labour want is a recovery to hold a general election in - whatever the disastrous consequences of doing so.

There is now a very large pile of cash being held on deposit at the Bank of England by the banks.

All the BoE needs to do to trigger its rapid dispersal into the economy is to start charging for the service of looking after it.

That would create a temporary blip in the economy just at the time of an election.

The Con could be on.

The Labour spin line du jour

Is to blame "Expenses" and "the World economic crisis" ( at least they've learnt to stop smearing the US ). This must be in todays "what words to come out of your mouth" email.

Its typical. I've never seen a half honest assessment of election results from a Labour politician since New Labour came into existence. They just read out what their pager (remember the days ?) and blackberry tell them.

The interviewer asks the question "What do you think ....? ", but with Labour its never answered as what you get is what they can remember of the party line today.

This sort of mindless obedience, which is enforced by the vicious bullying operation run by Gordon Brown's associates, seems to carry on in government also. We know Blair just saw the whole cabinet as window dressing round his sofa. Brown swore he'd change that, but obviously is still very dismissive of members of his government.

One of the reasons for the paralysis of Labour's government ( as evidenced by the very light legislative programme ) is the lack of independent thought from an ever shallower pool of talent ( which is in part why Labour now has to appoint people to the Lord's to cover up the inadequacies of the people it has as MPs and their lack of talent - or worse in Labour eyes- their lack of dumb loyalty to the Dear Bully ).

Labour are sinister and it is now clear that most of their MPs are cowards who put keeping a general election away and money flowing from the tax payer into their pockets far higher as a priority than the country they claim to serve.

Its time for Conservative commentators to start pocking fun at the lack of free thought int he Labour party and its slavish devotion to the spin that comes from Downing street and its dark heart.

'my teacher told me I couldn't talk about Jesus'

There is another disturbing example of the Labour inspired persecution of Christians, this time of a little girl and her mother at a Devon primary school.

In short a little five year old girl was overheard by a teacher discussing heaven and God with a friend and had been pulled to one side and told off by her "supporting equality and diversity" teacher. This lead to her being in tears when picked up by her mother after school.

Her mother also happens to work at the school, and sent a private email in her own time and from home to some fellow church members that the school has got hold of and is now under the threat of dismissal ( see the Daily Telegraph here for full details ).

Remember the Stasi Labour government has just set up the General Teaching Council that is busy trying to prevent teachers discussing their beliefs and to promote the state religion of "equality and diversity".

At the time that Labour is falling over itself to give in to threats of violence by militant Islam, it is setting the state on Christians.

Perhaps the Church of England's synod should have been discussing if any of its clergy should be allowed to be members of the Labour party ?

Labour government propaganda in schools

I followed the following link on the government's teachnet web site, whilst researching another subject. It was the face that got we worried,





Now look at the content below. This seems to me to be the use of a government role for party propaganda. There is no need for any minister to appear - the kids are intrested in Peter Jones - not the clapped out socialists.

Get a load of "Because he cannot get to see every school that will be joining in the buzz and excitement " - who does Brown think he is ? Santa Clause on Christmas Eve ?

Lets not disappoint the kids by not letting them see the very important message from Brown, Mandelson and Knight ( Labour ministers all ).

This is partisan advertising to future voters paid for by the state. They want to ban adverts for junk food or just about anything else, but are happy to run their Big Brother Airstrip One video to children who should be protected from such things.

"Why not play it in an assembly" - the government begs teachers - its chilling. I wonder what the cost of sending this to every school in the UK is - especially when they could just download it for free on the expensive school internet connections that were put in years ago ? ( I just watched it at a marginal cost to the tax payer of £0 ).

The file itself is labelled gordonbrowngew2008_256K.wmv - which I think tells you what they are really thinking.

If you watch it catch Jim Knight's bit of nasty political snide comments about technology only being reserved form a few big corporations in the past unlike the new Airstrip One under Gordon Brown saviour of everything.

There really should be a law against this.

( I have nothing against the idea or the use of people like Peter Jones, but there is no place for political figures in such a video ).

It is slowly dawning on the centre right that this is really a debit crisis, not a credit crisis ! ( Ok there is a credit crisis if you have a legitimate need for credit, but it is caused by the debt crisis ).

Reading Dan Roberts in the Sunday Telegraph today I can see this is beginning to sink in. ( The immediate danger is that the left controls the debate with their anti-capitalist knee jerk response - forgetting that it was Labour that had the close relations with the city ).

Can I point you back to my post in April which I copy below ? Just to show that the current problem could be foreseen and the underlying problem is a government that allowed too much debt to build up in the economy.

This blog has had Gordon Brown clearly in its cross hairs from just after day one. I have had some harsh things to say about him, but I think Richard Littlejohn's piece in today's mail knocks me into the shade. He's right on the money - exert below, full article here...

Labour in children's chartity money sleaze row

Who would have believed the Labour party would take money from a children's charity ? That's right, money accrued by the charity to benefit children was instead used to help fun Labour's over draft.

It worse than it looks as the charity, Catz Club, has a direct interest in government policy which it could benefit from.

Apparently the sleazy Labour party is being forced to pay the £15k back ( note they didn't volunteer - as anyone with any decency would see this was wrong ).

The charity commission says this case is a cause of "serrious concern".

Greg Clarke, shadow schools minister, said "a new low in Labour's donations history".

Well Greg I'd like to believe this was the case, but after all the sleaze and police investigations into Labour funding practices I don't think we can bee to confident.

Labour are quite simply shameless.

Surely there are some patriotic Labour MPs who see that their leadership is insane and destroying the country and will put country first and bring down Insanity Brown ?

That bastard* who spent our pensions and allowed the country to sink into over a trillion pounds of debt ( before the house prices started dropping mind ) whilst blowing a similar amount on dysfunctional and unreformed public services told us that the UK was uniquely well placed to weather the coming storm.

He said all the reasons were due to external factors when only his wise leadership alone had allowed the economy to prosper in the past. ( Who can forget his reported words on taking over the treasury and being told what a wonderful state the country's finances were in ).

So why is the OECD only forecasting the UK to go into recession ? Could it be that Brown has just been spouting rubbish for years and has ridden the wave of economic stability left to him by John Major without any clue of what he should do ?

Your second mortgage from Gordon Brown

Labour are so desperate to save their grubby jobs and expense accounts that they may now be planning on underwriting the mortgage market with your future earnings and assets (ie future taxation).

Well what they are really doing is underwriting other peoples mortgages with your money just so they can get re-elected. That's right Gordon - having destroyed your pension on unreformed public services is now going to hold up ruinous asset prices (ie housing ) in the name of his personal career and that of all the student politician parasites who sit on Labour benches.

Personally I believe the way credit has been supplied has lead to an unaffordable arms race of debt between potential home owners that has delivered the crisis we are now in. A correction is needed and after that correction and sane and responsible government might wonder how to prevent the same debt fuelled asset bubble reoccurring. But perhaps not desperate and shameless Labour - no they may want to gamble with your future in the hope of getting back into office in 2010.

Here's the BBC's take on the great new - with quotes from Vince Cable, now patron saint of BBC "don't let the Tories get a word in" interviews. ( PS You'd think they would have learnt from the American experience of failure with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in mortgage nationalisation - but not our student politicians. )

I know I'm meant to be having a blogging break right now - but this really annoys me. Personally I think the current Labour ministers should underwrite this scheme themselves and stand to lose their pensions and houses if it cost the tax payers anything.

Update: The business section of the Telegraph is making a different report suggesting that "Sir James Crosby will rule out creating a permanent government-backed vehicle to help support the mortgage market in his eagerly awaited report on the financial crisis today" - see here. I sure hope they're right.

Labour to pay the price for its anti-Christian bias at the ballot box

Just found the quote over at Labour home from a Catholic voter in Crewe:

"None of the Catholics I know who take their faith seriously can take Labour seriously anymore"

The same article reports the views of a Labour MEP Mary Honeyball who has questioned the rights of a catholic to hold high office.

Whilst Stephen Pound (Labour MP and also a catholic) decries her views, he clearly suspects they have wide spread sympathy inside Labour as he introduces the possibility of a catholic political party.

So that's Labour showing bigotry in terms of religious, race and sexism - all in the same week.

As I've said before I don't see how any Christian could vote for the current Labour government or even be a member of such a monstrous party that whipped the legalised mnurder of children between 20 and 24 weeks gestation and tries to deny it ( see Harriet Harman. )

Labour trail 26% behind - and plan to close maternity wards and cancer clinics !!!

You couldn't make this stuff up. The Conservatives have a 26% opinion poll lead ( so not just those who bothered to turn out to vote in the local election eh ..).

And at the same time Labour are planning on closing (which is what merging means) maternity and cancer units !


Maybe there a plan and justification for it - but good politics it isn't.

They held this news back from leaking before the local elections in the hope of keeping their vote up (25%) - wow things really are bad.

PS The 26% opinion poll hasn't turned up on any BBC news reporting I've seen yet (11:17pm) - they really are Labours best and only remaining friend.

Social Networking: I'm from the government and I'm here to help !

Be afraid, be very afraid. This current government - you know the one that's now one of the largest purchasers of political propaganda advertising is hoping to crush free expression and independent channels of communication on the internet.

The BBC report Tom Watson MP, he of the daft haircut and the bad taste, eyeing up MumsNet. ( Now just typing that fills me with alarm). Here's an extract from the BBC report (underlining is my own):

Mr Watson sees nothing intrusive about the government using open, commercially run sites to dispense advice and information.

"Having 100,000 mums on a social network like NetMums sharing ideas about how you bring up kids or what it's like to give birth can be useful to government because they can talk about the services that they provide.

"Government can be useful to them to give them advice on what's good and what isn't good.

"If 100,000 mums met at Wembley stadium there would be welfare rights advisers, clinicians, midwives, even politicians would get in on the act.

"But when 100,000 mums meet on an information community online like NetMums, you don't get a politician talking to them."

Rough translation => We could boss around far more people by hijacking social networking and gets lots of socialist propaganda out, just as we do with the governments advertising budget. After all how would people know how to run their lives if the government and Labour party didn't tell them ?

( How long before someone like Hazel Blears pops up to suggest using National Identity cards to access web sites etc ? It won't be long before the government insists you declare any email addresses or web site aliases you have ).

Labour to be run by Finance !

Apparently the Labour party has just appointed David Pitt-Watson as the new general secretary of the Labour Party.

Get this: Mr Pitt-Watson is a financier in the City who is chairman of Hermes Equity Ownership Service which is a major shareholder in Northern Rock. !

Can you think any of the bothers know what a conflict of interest is ? Or maybe they're just to desperate for cash, but then that's why they need a new general secretary anyway.

There is an interesting relationship between Labour and some financiers in the city that hasn't been adequately explored or explained. I've heard hints from people who work in that area, but no quotable specifics. The, until very recently, favourable legislative climate for such institutions must surely be a coincidence.

Is the Labour party about to implode ?

Man in a Shed was sitting back watching Newsnight when to his utter amazement Mr David Abrahams appeared on Newsnight, or rather phoned in. Perhaps it was a last minute thing, it was certainly dramatic. ( Guido has the transcript that is probably also available on the Newsnight web site ).

He started to add those small details, the sort that kept the alleged HMRC junior official locked up in a hotel somewhere to avoid passing onto the press. These are the sort of details that journalists ( and bloggers) will check. they are the chinks in the defensive line Labour has tried to erect. Labours spin doctors must have been choking on their l;ate night cornflakes as they saw that !

It suggest Mr Abrahams wants to talk. Perhaps he wants to make sure he's not arrested and prosecuted. This action of talking to Newsnight by phone was extraordinary for someone in his situation. It looked to me to be a signal - a signal to the watching Labour party machine. I think we can guess what it was....

At the same time Gordon Brown has signalled that he's quite happy to sacrifice people to defend his position (Harriet Harman should be feeling the chilly wind on her neck by now ). but once they are sacrificed for the greater Gordon their interests no longer line up with his, as Mr Abrahams may not do so. This is the real danger to Labour as the line breaks and its every comrade for himself. More of those details that the press office try to suppress will come to light - more lines of enquiry for journalists - with more devastating facts to be discovered at their end. ( An analogy with stirring septic tanks comes to mind.)

Things are coming very close to unravelling here for Gordon. Gordon's chief of funding is looking vulnerable. Other may calculate that their seats can be saved if the replace the leadership and have 2 years before the next general election to get things back on track.

PS Does anyone know of a link between Peter Mandelson and Mr Abrahams ? They seem like the sorts of people who might know each other. Perhaps not.

I wonder what Labour home is making of this ?

How safe are our children if all the names, ages and addresses get into the public domain ?

I am still in shock over the now 25 million records that the government has lost control of.

Since they don't know where the records are - they have no idea what use is being made of them.

And since they aren't even making any noises about encryption I assume they made the unforgivable mistake of sending such data unencrypted.

Now what of the safety of our children ? What is to stop this information being used to target them or worse ?

Frankly the thought is frightening. This could be the worse thing the government has ever done since purchasing blood products provided by US prisoners for our haemophiliacs.

This now warrants ministerial resignations...
