"He has been our worst Prime Minister ever - both in respects of the nation and the party"
This is brutal, but realistic self criticism just posted on Labour Home. Couldn't disagree with a word of it - except I think we all deserve a general election, not just members of the Labour party.

It was whispered, now it is official - a minister of state has put on record his view that under Gordon Brown, our party is doomed to electoral disaster and backbench wilderness.
Brown has to go....we are now officially in damage limitation mode. He has been our worst Prime Minister ever - both in respects of the nation and the party.
No charisma, no vision, no mandate. It is time to start afresh with an election - (something our party is becoming worryingly averse to.)However I don't think Brown is finished...
Further:
- "He's so unpopular that no one can remember a time since Neville Chamberlain, after Hitler invaded Norway, that anyone was so unpopular. And we can't allow that situation to continue."

Would you like to owe £12 million - yes ? Then sign up for Labour!
Apparently Gordon Brown would like the membership of the Labour party to sign up for personal liability for the money the party owes (£12 million I think).
Its a bit like being a name on Lolyds List. but with no prospect of making anything.
I wonder what the take up will be - given the fewer people join the greater the liability.
Who wants to put the home, savings and car on the line for Gordon Brown ?
Man in a Shed guesses not that many....
PS Gordon doesn't take no for an answer so you Trade Union will soon do some deal to save his career finances -the rest will come from the tax payer, either directly from state funding or laundered through the 'Union modernisation fund'.

Have you been banned from Labour home ?
Letters from a Tory has ....
Man in a Shed occasionally wonders over to Labour home, but finds the level a self delusion a bit to much to take over there as they try to figure out how they sold their souls for Blair, betrayed him, allowed an anti democratic putsch by Brown and are now in such a deep hole as a result.
Who knows perhaps they'll chear up if they scrape home in Crewe. Of course they shouldn't since its perhaps the last chance they're going to get to ditch Brown.
Update: Alex Hilton of Labour home official describes his policy in this post - which I quote below:
- I have recently banned a couple of Tory trolls from this site, a process that entails deleting every contribution they have ever made.
One of those is "Letter from a Tory", who has made his frustration clear here.
Tories are suffered on these pages for as long as they are polite and constructive and I'd be grateful if readers would alert me if they feel contributors are exceeding their welcome.
Many thanks

Personally I can understand banning someone - it happens. Also a party site might want those who hold other views to contribute in a reasonable way - though I've never see any evidence that LetterFromATory isn't polite and reasonable. Its still a relatively free society - despite the best efforts of Alex's pals in government. But deleting all contributions to debates automatically looks a little Orwellian/Stalinist to me - but I guess its Labour home ....
