Baroness Scotland is proof that for Labour ...

• There is one rule for the plebs - and another for Labour ministers.
• Labour have no shame at all.
• Gordon Brown has no judgement.

It is only Brown's complete moral failure and weakness combined with his sense of self entitlement and arrogance that stops his doing his job as Prime Minister, upholding the honour of the country and sacking Baroness Scotland.

We need to start really holding our politicians to account and jailing those who commit fraud by lying

Just read the following in a great article by Peter Oborne:

Scandalously, defenders of the Government argue that this culture of deception is of no real importance — simply part of the cut-and-thrust of political debate. I disagree most vehemently.

Imagine, for example, that the chairman of one of our large private companies, such as BP, had conducted himself as Gordon Brown has done in recent weeks and lied to the Stock Market about BP’s future investment and spending plans. He’d have been forced out of his job by now.

Indeed, it is also highly likely that he would have been visited by the City of London fraud squad and be facing a jail sentence.

It occurs to me that this is precisely what's wrong right now. Gordon Brown should have been arrested by now and be on trial for fraud. In Labour's modernised without morales society they lie as they breath. There need to be consequences.

Brown has condemned our country to poverty for a generation - he should stand trial for the contested truths he spouts ( just as a company director would ) and assuming he gets convicted be sent to prison for a decade.

Brown's desperate interview with Nick Robinson

Every time it really starts to fall apart for Brown he phones up the BBC and gets a reporter over to do help get the message that is laughed out of court in parliament. At the 10pm news we had Nick Robinson asking the questions and Brown producing his usual smoke screen of obscurification and incredible answers (BBC post on this is available here - Nick Robinson did mange to get him to almost admit that cuts may happen ).

Having made the zero % increase gaff in PMQs he will have been desperate to divert attention. Such is the dishonest art of Labour spin doctoring and its obsession with news control and deceit of the electorate.

Brown still will not admit that the governments own figures indicate considerable cuts in departmental spending hiding behind the dishonourable fallacy that who knows the future ? Yet at the same time he smears his opponents by claiming he knows their policies with certainty - even when he doesn't know his own government's circumstances.

This man is just unfit for office. If he doesn't know that then its because he's deluded.

Is there nobody in the Labour party willing to put country before their career or fear of the No10 smear machine to save our country ?

Haven't had time to watch PMQs yet - but from what I hear the Brown being economical with the Truth thing is going round again .... Google are now able top record the searches for "Brown Liar"

In the interest of fairness I used a comparison for the search term "Cameron Liar" just to get a sense of perspective.

"Poor Gordon Brown - lets feel sorry for him" - new Labour deceit plan

The smoke and spin coming out of Number 10 has just increased dramatically. Someone else is trying to pull the wool over the electorates eyes and help destroy the country by continuing the most disastrous premiership since Neville Chamberlain for a few more despicable and staggeringly expensive days.

Simon Lewis is to try to extent the country's suffering using his skills.

Its like a horror move where the monster is never dead. You think you've woken up and its all over, but then articles start appearing in papers to reposition Brown ( even Cherie Blair chipping in - what can have motivated her to do that ? ;-) ).

Brown claims he could walk away and become a teacher ( yeah right ). We have Roy Hattersley on the radio this morning complaining about prime minster's questions ( a form of debate that Labour manipulated in 97 to make it more favourable to their man ). We have the setting Brown up as the underdog strategy.

And all the while the country sinks further and further at an ever accelerating rate weighed down by Gordon Brown's millstone of debt just so selfish PR people can try for a triumph over the electorate.

Still Peter Mandelson achieves his mission of keeping out the Conservatives till Lisbon is ratified by the bullied Irish.

Brown moves to protect Labour ministers from freedom of information - whilst talking reform to fool the voters

As always with Labour - you need to watch what the left hand is up to when the right hand is trying to distract you.

Today we had the Mandelson/Brown plan to eat up the media's time before the general election. Its the usual tactical nasty stuff designed to create short term advantage for the ego of one Gordon Brown whilst sacrificing the long term stability and democracy of the country.

So that needs watching right ? ( Ans for those who wonder: Of course it does ).

But in the mean time whilst pretending to extend the freedom of information act to private organisations he doesn't have to pay the bills for Brown just adds that certain Royal and Cabinet minutes would be more clearly protected. ( H/T to someone at the BBC for pointing this out ).

This means that Brown will be safe from freedom of information requests that might land him and his cabinet colleges in the clink in the Hague, or trouble for the other things they have done which we haven't caught them out for yet.

And like the true coward that Brown really is he tried to rap it up as also being part of a move to protect the royal family ( which we know from recent events he has no respect for whatever ).

Brown is shameless, useless and gutless. The sooner he is also unemployed the better.

The Economist brands Brown's budget dishonest

I have long read and enjoyed the Economist and have been a subscriber for over two decades, even though it is the voice of the continuing SDP.

But I have noticed over the last day the sound of the patience of many on the soft SDP / New Labour groupie left snapping with this budget. ( The Economist doesn't even pretend to ascribe the budget to the hapless Alistair Darling ). I saw Janet Street Porter on "This Week" clearly still in shock as the real implications of Labour mismanagement and destruction of our economy have been sinking in since the budget. Grey Dyke, always an outrider for the Labour project, tried some guff about US capitalism but nobodies going to buy that excuse.

But oh the strength of the words from the economist. They have called the budget dishonest in their leader. They details the deceptions and political tactical decisions Brown has made at the expense of the country.


This weeks UK edition has the strap line "Desperate Measures" on the front and its leader finished with these words "The public is losing patience with him, and so is this newspaper".

Its time for those in Labour to admit they are not up to the job and resign and let those who could save our country try.

Update: It seems there's a petition ont he No10 web site to get Brown out. Sounds like a worth cause to me ! Go here.....

Dangerous dogs and Gordon Brown's culpability

Just what is it with Gordon Brown and apologies ?

All he has to say is he's sorry and regrets any distress that those he selected to work for him have caused distress and offence. That's the decent thing to do, it would even improve the general public's image of him ( though not mine as I'm now beyond reconciliation with the idea that Gordon Brown is a decent honest man ).

We have Alan Johnson on the media right now with the spin de jour that ""Gordon Brown had nothing to do with this. You apologise for the things you are responsible for," see the BBC here.

Right oh Alan, lets see if I can lay this out for you:

Brown is closely, very closely, associated with McBride. He came over from the Treasury and is widely seen as an attack dog - his transfer with Brown after the coup against the elected prime minister shows he's Brown's attack dog. Brown knew what sort of man he is. (We can't tell if Browns intense interest in anti-Tory tactics had him discussing these things with McBride and Draper - who has been invited to chequers to discuss Labour's failure to control the Internet ).

If you own a dangerous dog and don't control it then you are responsible for what happens. The dog bites and savages because its in his nature - the owner is responsible.

The same goes for attack dogs.

You would have thought an ex-postman would understand that.

PS I assume the likable Mr Johnson was wheeled out today as one of the last Labour minister not universally despised in the country. He's wasting his good name on this issue.

Update: It is always worth paying attnetion to the precise meaning of words used by Labour spin doctors and their number ten tax payer funded colleagues. The Guardian reports number ten saying "Neither the prime minister, nor anybody else in Downing Street, had knowledge of these emails.".

That does not equate with a denial of knowledge or even instigation of a plan to smear senior and popular Conservatives.

Number 10 needs to make itself available for a series of questions with truthful answers ( not Gordon Browns standard issue evasions from his PMQ tractor production stats performances ) about this affair, as well as delivering a full apology.

Developing: Brown has now almost contradicted Alan Johnson, but deploying the following ploys:
1) Writing to Sir Gus O'Donnel and demanding standards are raised ( they do this every time ).
2) Saying he's written to those who were the targets of the smears (does this amount to an apology ?)
3) Claiming no ministers were involved, including the one who sits next to Damian McBride and has previous for nasty videos which made suggestion about what David Cameron would do to be popular that I'm not going to repeat here - but they were shameful . ( Has Brown asked each one individually ? Has he received assurances ? Are any of them more honest than the ones his mate Derek Drapper has given in the past ? Why should anyone believe this statement ? Will Brown resign if it turns out not to be the case ? )

As I said before pay careful attention to any weasel words you hear. They will try to imply denials with words they know will be misunderstood or construed to say something else than they actually do.

Lets remember Brown is now being forced to do what he's doing by the bad publicity and advice of political advisers. Its not the instinctive reaction of a decent man - the time for such reactions was a few days ago.

PS Expect the Labour spin machine to try and turn this one around and widen its scope to lose the focus that's giving them so much trouble. They could even try to make Tom Harris' April fools joke look like prophecy in time.....

On the positive side a number of Labour bloggers have clearly shown their disgust with these events. See Mike Ion for an example, Tom Harris or Alex Hilton. As I said earlier I'm afraid I can't share their belief in the underlying morality and decency of their leader, but the greater good will be served by the actions they suggest - even if they are forced from Brown.

Turns out - the "hand written letter of regret" that allowed Brown to spin last nights news was just a statement of regret about the damage done to politics - see Iain Dale's report here. They are beyond even the simplest decency and honesty. Are they trying to apologise, bcause it looks like they are just trying to spin their way out.

Have Labour already arranged over draft facilities with the IMF ?

As ever with Brown, its the small print you need to look out for. His father may have been a honest man, a man of the cloth, but his son operates by deceit, sub-defuse, misdirection, smear and straight lies and betrayal. He is a creature of the socialist left, which doesn't seek understanding and popular ( let alone democratic ) support, just power achieved through patronage, control of information, bullying and fear.

There are reports of Peter Mandelson talking about taking away the stigma of getting money from the IMF yesterday. The G20 has also created a fund that can be drawn down from the IMF - under the cover of doing something for the third world. (Much as extreme left wing agitation now hides under the green banner. )

The current corrupted government lead by Brown has been having trouble selling our children into debt to win the next election, having to print money to buy the short terms gilts and being unable to sell the all the long term variety. More cash is urgently needed, and as inflation takes of to destroy the middle classes they hate so much, the argument of fighting deflation will no longer hold for having a cash machine which is really a printer in the Treasury. So its the IMF next, sooner or later ( which means before or after the general election as that's all they care about).

Many of us on the right assumed that the involvement of the IMF would be the final proof that Labour had failed. But no, the spin masters of "the narrative" are getting to work to try to diffuse this moment the same way that Brown betrayal of his country and oath breaking from his manifesto was "handled" when he sneaked in late to carry out his treason signing the Lisbon constitution treaty.

And of course the BBC ( no one from the centre right available for Newsnight ) and Channel 4 ( its the end of Thatcherism hurray ) will help their friends in Labour all they can.

There is going to be a real fight for the nations soul against a force and movement that hides its aims, denies straight facts, deceives, spins and tells straight lies to the voters faces.

Its a battle I wish I was more sure of us winning.

Update: This issue is now going mainstream. Those unprincipled shameless ******** who have sold us into debt are going to ruin this country for the whole life times oif anyone old enough to read these words.

Its not an election these people need to be defeated in - they should be convicted in court for criminal incompetence and treason.

Is Brown planning to boost housing debt just as interest rates may have to rise to save his skin ?

The Telegraph has one of those deeply depressing articles today. They report that Gordon Brown just hasn't listened to anyone, least of all Dan Hannan, over the last week.

He's planning on trying to "get the mortgage market going again". Yes its time for more Debt everyone, because it worked so well last time.

Combine that with the warning yesterday that interest rates will have to rise fast and aggressively if inflation gets worse than it is ( and remember it is still way over target with major inflationary events yet to work their way through - you can't trust what you hear from the Beeb on economic, they are just too desperate to keep Labour in power.)

What should start to worry all of us is the constant talk about the housing market and consumer confidence. When did we ever learn to accept that those where the main indicators of a healthy economy.

What about the balance of trade and the national debt. The Daily Mail yesterday had a truly frightening projection of the national debt under Brown.

I've called for criminal prosecution of key ministers for what they are doing, and I'll do so again. We should try to prove they are acting in personal and party interest and not national interest. And then put them in cells to reflect on the lies they told and mysery they have inflicted.

PS Man in a Shed is reading up on Peter Schiff these days, and is trying to recall his 'O' level economics. I have a fealing that we are being decieeved about the long term consequences of government actions and our current state of true wellbeing again, and I'd like to be able to express it.

More hypocrisy from Gordon Brown over MPs pay

So Gordon Brown is trying to deflect the bad publicity which his minister, Tony McNulty, who has been exposed claiming £60k allowances he didn't need by "calling for an inquiry". And to make sure there will be plenty to smear the Tories with, wants to include other jobs.

But hold on doesn't he have another job as well as being an MP ? Well two actually:

• Gordon moonlights as the Prime Minister ( a job he gained in a bloodless coup against the elected prime minister Tony Blair ).
• He's also Leader of the Labour party !

But of course he only means jobs that might connect MPs with the real world, ie "outside" jobs, and preferably ones he can use to attack the Conservatives with, since they have the unfair advantage of having people with real talent as MPs.

So why aren't we made as hell about Brown destroying Lloyds ?

Iain Martin has a good article about Brown's culpability for the destruction of Lloyds bank and the effective rape of its shareholders by Gordon Brown.

I recommend reading his article and asking just why isn't this the key issue in politics right now ?

The Prime Minister refuses to even answer the question let alone resign !

I have to admit I was surprised the e-petition below managed to get published on the No 10 web site. In essence the petition accuses Brown of being responsible for the mess were in and demands his resignation.

As is the standard parallel universe operating mode of Labour politicians these days the response from No10 just ignores the how we got into the current mess and whom was responsible for it - ie the point of the petition and hits you between the eyes with the Kirkcaldy telephone directory of Gordon's mini me initiatives.

Frankly I for one am fed up with Labour minister refusal to answer questions by address the question.

Make sure you have something soft in front of you before reading as you'll be needing to bang your head a lot to dull the pain.

The Government’s priorities to get Britain through the recession fairly are to prevent the collapse of the banking system, so that people’s savings are secure and the banks can do their job; to get the financial system lending responsibly again so as to support businesses, jobs and growth; to support the economy and jobs through direct government action, including tax cuts and important investment projects; and to help people through these tough times, from homeowners with difficulties paying their mortgages, or people seeking employment or training, to small businesses with cashflow problems and larger businesses needing working capital.

Action has also been taken to boost our economy by putting money in people’s pockets and bringing investment plans forward. This includes:

· income tax cuts of £145 for every basic rate taxpayer;
· £60 extra for every pensioner in January 2009;
· a VAT cut worth on average over £200 to every family this year; and
· an extra £3 billion investment in projects that will protect and create jobs.

In addition to discretionary fiscal policy to support the economy through these difficult times the 2008 Pre-Budget Report announced a sustained fiscal consolidation from 2010-11 when the economy is expected to be recovering and able to support a reduction in borrowing:

· restricting the income tax personal allowance for those with incomes over £100,000 from April 2010, and introducing a new additional higher rate of income tax of 45 per cent for those with incomes above £150,000 from April 2011;

· increasing the employee, employer and self-employed rates of national insurance contributions by 0.5 per cent from April 2011;

· to offset the effects of the temporary reduction in VAT, increasing alcohol and tobacco duties, maintaining these increases after December 2009 to support fiscal consolidation; and following a fall in pump prices of over 20 pence per litre from their summer peaks, a two pence per litre increase in fuel duty from 1 December 2008; and

· an additional £5 billion value for money target for 2010-11 and setting assumptions for spending growth from 2011-12 onwards.

We will continue to do everything we can in the current difficult times to give real help now to families and businesses, and help our economy to come through this recession as quickly as possible, and we will take the tough decisions in the medium-term to maintain low inflation and sound public finances. This will ensure the UK is well-placed to prosper in the new global economy which will follow the current global recession.

Real tax payers money being spent campaigning for Labour

Just look at this web site ( screen shot below ) and tell me tax payers money isn't being used to provide political campaigning for the Labour party.

Surely Sir Gus O'Donnell should have something to say about this ? This is clearly a misuse of government resources for political campaigning.

Gordon Brown launches 100% cynicism to save one job

Yep the most expensive man in UK history is at it again. He's banning a type of mortgage ( or rather remember this is New Labour - announcing he's thinking about it - this usually results in nothing other than the same announcement in 6 months and a demand for more deadlines from the BBC etc ) that no one is issuing any more.

Having ordered Northern Rock to run down its mortgage business ( ie get rid of its good risks ) its now going to reverse - to hoover up more bad risks no one else wants ( aka expand its businesses ). Maybe this is a way of creating the "bad bank" on the quiet.

Anyway the concern is that there are to many smart young people who are waiting for the bottom of the housing market before jumping in to tale out massive mortgages which will soon put them in negative equity ( they sub consciously acknowledge this with the 100% mortgage spin announcement ).

That's really cynical.

And of course the bail out of Gordon's career will continue to be funded by all of us as we have to pay the debts of this Labour government for the rest of our lives.

More hypocrisy from Brown

The only thing Gordon Brown cares about is headlines to win that next general election.

Hence today with have the usual Brownian assertions about Zimbabwe. The same sort of statements he's made about Congo, Darfur, and Burma.

Not that Labour cared much when its was white ( ie evil to socialists ) farmers being attacked by mobs ( end result the near starvation a decline that has allowed the cholera epidemic to take hold ).

What really upsets Brown is that Nick Clegg got the headlines yesterday on this issue.

Has Brown dyed his hair and eyebrows ?

Just seeing him on TV last night, he seemed to have lost a lot of grey. Maybe being reminded of his old self boasting about all the leaks he received in opposition has got the hair dye out.

As ever with Labour - its all false impressions and deceit.

What have Brown and Miliband sold Tibet out for ?

Real politic is back. Brown is desperate to borrow cash to steal the next election - regardless of who its from - the Saudi's or the Chinese.

In this context the UK has decided to recognise China's direct rule over Tibet.

Join the dots and marvel in the shallowness of New Labour and its self serving, time serving, self interested, hangers on like Brown and Miliband.

So that's Iceland and now Tibet sold out and the Dalai Lama knifed by Gordon.

Who says so - well the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit - odd that. Brown has been stung by such acusations, so he's now generated a report that says he's great (which the UK taxpeyer will have paid to produce for Labour party political ends ).

The BBC article goes on to say it only 'suggests' and whilst we're there there are some quotes around 'improving in the UK'. But we know how this game is played now. It the headline that people read and the New Labour linguistic programming that has the impact - thank's to their friends ( and in many cases future employees ) in the BBC.

Brown's fuel bluster

So, as if to make my point about the current government only caring about politics and getting re-elected, Brown is trying to grab headlines about reducing fuel prices.

He's spotted the oil price dropping and thinks he can make political capital out of it.

Today we have him banging on about prices at the pumps not dropping fast enough.

Could he be forgetting about the fact that oil is traded in pounds and thanks to the fiscal irresponsibility of his government the value of the pound has dropped from $2 to $1.6 due to the factored in risk that he's about to go on a further borrowing binge to buy himself the next election ?
