Tony Blair confirms what many of us say about David Cameron

OK I'm using it - but the subject is too important to ignore.)

Many of us explain to Conservative Eurosceptic friends exactly this point, but due to some sort of Stockholm syndrome they can't see it. ( I should know that included me once ).

Lets be clear either the EU does well in this election or the UK does.

Vote for UKIP is you want your country back from people like Blair and Cameron.

The EU has brought Europe to the brink of war

There's no hiding how bad things are getting. The EU - using soft power - effectively removed the unpleasant, but democratically elected Ukrainian govt by encouraging and perhaps fermenting revolution.

Russia was never going to sit back at let this happen, and she hasn't.

Putin has used Maskirovka to deceive the naive EU and US and crave out key parts of territory it wants. They have pushed and found the door easy to move, now they look like wanting more.

France and Germany may talk tough, but there are very real concerns about their military capability. For example it is rumoured that the German airforce is almost unserviceable.

In the UK defence cuts have weakened us to the point that we can't defend our own waters and the Russians feel emboldened enough to bring nuclear cruise missile bombers, without transponders switched on, to fly up and down the English channel.

At the same time the new reverse oil crisis has been kicked of by the Saudis ( is the US involved ? ) - this puts Russia into a use it or lose it corner.

Its hard to see how this is going to end well.

Remember all this the next time you hear the Vichy-conservative party or Lib Dems try to defend the EU-Superstate by claiming it has brought peace to Europe.

Peace in Europe has been kept by NATO - and mostly the US, with at the time a strong UK backing.

The EU has brought us to the edge of disaster....

Don't let the apologists for Brussels ever forget this.

And also let not forget that its not Labour, but David Cameron's Conservative party that has betrayed our nation like this.

Why is no one calling to end VAT on gas and electricity ?

So John Major is happy to gift #RedEd a break on his economic denial strategy, but no one mentions VAT on fuel.

Could this just perchance be something to do with the European Union ?

I ask as Obama has been rather keen today to hint that the UK should stay still whilst the European Union dissolves it.

Of course we can remember all the other support the Obama administration has offered us over the Falklands and "British" petroleum.

Just back from Free Europe

I've just spent a day working in free Europe.

That's right Norway.

The people I was working with wanted to know if David Cameron would succeed in getting the UK out of Europe ?

I had to explain to them that:

1) Cameron wants to keep us in Europe.
2) Very powerful members of the elite that runs the UK now would not accept withdrawal and that the media would be manipulated in such a way as too make people to fearful of voting for freedom.
3) Cameron was unlikely to be PM at the end of 2015 anyway.
4) The Lib dems will saying and do anything to stop a democratic choice on the EU.
5) Labour won't do anything.

 ...

Sadly I'm back in a UK run by that man who has such utter contempt for his own country that he can't even be bother to attend the debate on destroying marriage for his and George "HS2 gets diverted around my constituency" Osbornes's political convenience.

PS A big hello to the EUSSR's new troll watch thought police who are now monitoring these sort of outbursts.

Cameron attempts in finesse the Eurosceptics

The leaked line is that it will be an in-out referendum ... or at least that what team Cameron would like tomorrows headlines to be.

Of course you only get this with second term Cameron rule - which betrays Cameron's real concern, which is to try to shore up the haemorrhaging of votes to UKIP.

Cameron wants to deliver up the UK to Brussels, with a few soaps to keep the patient quiet as its bleed to death by the EU parasite.

The sad thing about our politics is this might work for him.

Its sad as I don't think- after the vested interests and establishment campaigns for a year - the UK will vote to leave the EU. And having failed to take the exit we will be doomed to the gradual death of our nation and the creeping oppression that the EU instinctively brings.

There's only one way to get the UK out from the EU, and that's a UKIP vote.

Its going to be a long road to freedom still - and by the time we are ready the EU may not allow us to leave ( or to have political parties opposed to it. )

We have to start being a lot harder headed in the appraisal of our politicians. Cameron has betrayed conservative England - and really should never get another chance to do it again.

The EU referendum is unlikely to satisfy

Its been almost an article of faith amongst Eurosceptics that an In/Out Referendum would be won by those who wish the UK to regain its sovereignty.

This is certainly the assumption of the Conservative, Labour and preserve us the Lib Dems. They know saying there will be referendum is popular ( so they have some have been happy to promise one of sorts on Lisbon ), but they have feared letting us have one.

But the damn may not be able to be held back much longer. UKIP is looking like ensuring there can be no majority Conservative future govt. The Euro has made the Lib Dems euro-quisling stance very toxic indeed. And even Labour senses the tactical opportunity to light the blue touch paper for Tory self destruction by committing to one.

But would it be won ?

Here is where I have doubts. I think the public want to leave the EU, but may be too scared to do so.

Bad economic news and fear may make the voter cling to nurse for fear of what may be worse.

And all this talk of referendums from the Conservatives, Lib Dems & Labour I think means that they have sensed this is likely to be the outcome also.

After all Ireland just voted for Euro slavery - again.

Those who want our country to regain its independence may have to think beyond a defeat in a referendum. Eggs need to be in more than one basket here.

The wets/modernisers will spike the EU referendum

There's a growing amount of excitement about the prospect of the political class giving in on the idea of a referendum on the UK's independence from the EU. Guido hints playfully that Labour might change their position to make life impossible for Dave.

But don't expect a fair fight, the wets and modernisers will spike the guns of the referendum before the campaign starts.

As the alternative Queen's speech on Conservative home hints the wets and modernisers have many tricks up their sleeves to keep the UK as a trophy for their Brussels masters. The Referendum on renegotiation is just the start of their creativity.

Any referendum in the current climate, especially one suggesting change is most likely to fail. Make it appear to be all about Angles dancing on the heads of euro-pins and the contempt from the public will be nuclear.

The political class know this and I think we can safely expect them to exploit it.

So we may finally get our referendum, but we won't like the question and we will like the answer even less.

Its going to be a much tougher and long term fight to liberate the UK from the EU than just a vote on a single day.

Why aren't the Lib Dems more upset ?

This is the Dog that did not bark in the night question.

One answer is that they have been forewarned and know how this will all play out now that Cameron has established his euro sceptic credentials.

Sorry the cynicism is back.

Hold on - here comes the Lib Dem backing both sides ... that's a bit better.

Well an apology is in order

I have to say ( and did in the last post ) that I never thought David Cameron would do it.

But he has finally used the veto. So I owe him an apology and am happy to give it here. Sorry Mr Cameron.

But there is much much more to do. The UK needs to line itself up with the world and not old sick Europe. All the people who moaned about our not being in the Euro are going to go into over drive now.

But remember we import more from the EU than we export.

We are net contributors to the outrageous EU budget.

Along with the French we are a key military power ( just ).

We must not sell ourselves short. Though the predictable hedging of bets from the Labour party suggest there are many would would like to see just that.

Now how about that referendum ?

The Greek prime minister at least understand democracy

A referendum ? On the diktats from out Brussels masters ? Not allowed, impossible, pointless, its the wrong time - oh hold on you can do it after all.

All that's required is for the politicians to be more frightened of their people than their EU masters.

Just found the shown advert in my copy of the economist. Given that its our taxes that fund the euro monster I find this objectionable and rather worrying.

Whats a billion pounds to Gordon Brown ?

The answer is nothing at all ! He knows he's spending our money - not his.

So the EU is to cost the UK over £4 Billion this year instead of the Brown advertised £3.3 Billion.

This was the cost of allowing Blair and Brown to be good European citizens and cave into the French a few years ago.

Personally I think its close to treason.

Red line already being breached

You knew Gordon Brown and the gap year student Miliblogger were lying when he spoken about the red lines.

Apparently the Germans are already subverting the issue in terms of symbols and anthems - see Eu Referendum and links to other here.

The problem with Gordon deceitful red lines is all they are will be bargaining chips to be traded away in the future. the agenda for the EU has been set and Brown/Blair didn't stop it. The only option for the UK in the long run is to cave in.

Its been as successful as his grumpy failure in boycotting the Africa-EU summit.

In short the decisions Brown makes at EU level result in Britain losing every time - he is not fit to be prime minister.

( That's three posts ion half an hour, and I haven't had coffee yet - going to get some work done now, maybe the internet will need to go off for a bit ! )

The boy Miliband completely loses his grip on reality over EU expansion

Apparently young David think it would be rather fun to have Russia, Turkey, North African and some middle east countries in the EU ( do you think he means Israel ? ).

The odds on this happening are rather low.

What do they put in his coffee at the Foreign Office ? ( Perhaps he shouldn't be allowed to drink any.)

Why should Liverpool say 'thank you' when the EU never does ?

I spend a few days in Liverpool last week and took the obligatory ferry across the Mersey.

And for the second time that day I came across the EU's propaganda. (Its all over the New Lanark museum in Scotland also.)

So if the EU thinks it should get thanks - where the thanks for the English tax payer who subsidises them ?

We are being made to be grateful for getting a little of our own money back - after the EU bureaucratic shrinkage of course. Isn't it time something was done about these annoying propaganda signs ?

The Conservative party should support referendums on independence

I believe it is a mistake for the Unionists to try to deny the referendum on Scottish independence that the SNP say they are seeking.

Since consent should be at the heart of the United Kingdom, it is not pro-independence to affirm it. It actually damages the UK in the long term to be seen to be running away from it. ( They same applies for our relationship with the EU - as Ming Campbell to his credit finally realised.)

The Conservative party should promise referendums on the following:

1) Membership of the UK for each constituent nation, with a new federated constitution between the nations being offered.
2) Membership of the EU. ( If anyone leaves the UK then they can sort out 1) for themselves).

It should be understood that these referendums will be final for the next 50 years - and laws passed to ensure this.

They should take place about 2 years after the next general election to give full time for debate to develop.

These are not measures we should hide from. What we need to avoid is the exam retake options that Quebec keeps trying. These issues should be settled.

Why isn't Labour interested in power ?

No that may seem an odd line - but I have a point, so here we go:

Most of our legislation is in effect determined in Europe. During the last election the Conservatives were told some of their polices would be illegal on immigration - because of the European Union.

I've heard it said that over 80% of our legislation is determined by the EU. So why is Labour and Gordon Brown pushing the - its not a constitution line. Everyone knows that it is - foreign governments say so openly. There is strong doubt that any of Tony Blair's so called red lines actually hold.

So what's in it for the Labour party ? They devolve much of the power in their heartlands to the Nationalists. They give away much of the remainder to the new European Empire (EU). Apart from all the ministerial limoseanes and having their egos stroked - what's the point ?

It won't be long before tax and defence become taken over by the EU.

They know this as well as everyone else does - so what their motivation ? They must have one - and it worries me that I'm not sure what it is.
