British citizenship should not be the loss leader for a educational establishment that can't compete

Vince Cable is busy making his very Lib Dem point keeping the immigration floodgates open ( yes Vince we know you had a wife from India ).

What he's really saying is we need to offer British Citizenship to shift education services. Prostitute our country to keep so low quality Guardian reading lecturers in artificial employment.

Perhaps its time to rebalance the economy away from parasitic arrangements like that Vince ? Only as a Lib Dem that thought has no chance of registering does it ?

Brown does not seem sincere on immigration

I heard some of Gordon Brown's speech on Immigration and frankly I wasn't buying it.

My guess is that internal polling from the Labour East bye-election showed Brown the BNP was making a break through and he decided to try to shore things up a bit.

I keep banging on about Labour's smears from the 2005 general election , but its worth remembering them again. They were:

1) A Conservative govt would fire every Nurse and Doctor and Teacher because the evil kitten drowning Tories would CUT CUT CUT 'investment' in public services.
2) Its a bit racist to talk about immigration - so the Tories must be "Same old Tories" who are racists for talking about having a single boarder police force and upper limit on immigration.

We now know that reducing the rate of increase in public spending in 2005 was "the right thing to do" ( as Brown would prefix any of his assertions, usually without justification ). The country would be in a far better place had this Conservative plan been followed, but instead Brown had is "dividing lines" and personal career to advance and if that meant bankrupting the country then it was a small price to pay for his ego.

Point 2 Brown is now trying to back away from. He introduced a new set of uniforms to create a half hearted Border Protection agency and is now trying to argue that his old smear doesn't count when he talk about racism. ( The Conservatives are so stung by the racist smear technique that even now some think Labour raising the issue is just an attempt to tempt the Tories back into talking about Immigration so they can play the same smear game again ).

We were told at the time that these were Brown's master strokes running the campaign, when Tony "soon to be stabbed in the back by Brown's friends" Blair was out campaigning.

Now Brown wants to tell us he's changed, just when his plan has started losing him votes. We know know the truth was that Labour opened the flood gates of immigration for political purposes to kill English culture and replace it with their multi-cultural dream and left wing voting clients ( another plan that has misfired spectacularly by the way ).

Brown doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt on this - he represents the worse of a politics, spin and straight lies in UK politics.

There must be a public enquiry into whether Labour allowed mass immigration for political purposes

I've just seen reports of this in the Daily Telegraph quoting Andrew Neather, a former adviser to Tony Blair, Jack Straw and David Blunkett.

I have always suspected this has been Labour's policy and its in part why I hold them in such low regard that they are willing to sacrifice the interests of our country just for votes, spite and narrow political advantage.

This looks like the misuse of power and frankly I think criminal charges should result. ( Imagine the uproar from the left over Michael Howard doing anything like this ? Or you don't have to imagine think of the Shirley Porter and the sale of homes for votes scandal. That was just for a few votes - how about letting 2 million people in just for votes ! )

To start with their must be a public inquiry into immigration and the reason's for Labour allowing a flood of millions of people they said wasn't happening into our country.

On the other hand:
It does occur to me that this might itself be a dirty trick by Labour to get the Conservatives making immigration noises so Labour can rerun the other great smear and lie they used in 2005 which had every interview with a Conservative spokesperson ( any spokeperson ) drowned out by questions on immigration. Is Mr Neather dropping his former bosses in it or has he been primed to kick this off ? This would fit the strange actions of Peter Hain and using the BNP to frighten people back into voting Labour. The only thing we know for sure is they are capable of anything and have no shame or honour and most certainly always put their political party before the country.

More mood music from shameless Labour

This time its immigration.

Gordon Brown regularly tries to get away with quoting that 3 million jobs have been created under Labour, ignoring the key fact that most of them have gone to immigrants. ( For reasons that are all to depressingly clear to those who are employers. )

Now Labour is trying to do a U-turn on immigration, saying it must be restricted.

When the Cosnervatives said this in 2005, the Labour party attack and distortion machine went ion to smear over drive, ably assisted by their vast army of supporters in the BBC. No Conservative spokesperson could saying anything without either being accused, or implied of racism ( whatever the subject they were speaking on ).

Now Phil Woolas is trying to say the same thing for new Labour.

This is because immigration is going up and employment is going down. Unfortunately many immigrants make better employees than the products of Labour all must have prizes education system.

Yet more mood music, yet more spin, yet more hypocrisy - yet more of Gordon Brown's New Labour.

PS I wonder if decks aren't being cleared for a snap election. ( I know the MSM has told us this won't happen, but Labour are dropping unpopular policies like sandbags out of a sinking balloon right now.)

Reduce net immigration to zero

This is precisely what the vast majority of the general population wants and what our politicians have conspired to prevent from happening.

I guess even in today's climate where the recent wave of immigration from Eastern Europe has reduced the ability of the pro-immigration lobby to call racist every time someone brings this up, such a call could only be made by a cross party group of MPs.

Its time someone listened. ( If not it is clear that democracy doesn't properly function in the UK and its system of government is effectively a conspiracy against its people. )

I know how strong all that sounds, but we've waited - been understanding and generous for decades and all that is getting us is a country of 77 million people which we can feed, house or keep employed.

Update: Daniel Hannan has a post on the same point - that makes the point for why this will never happen under our system better than I have.

Immigrants occupy one home in 15 - and 1 in 4 new homes

Heres something from India Times that looks rather shocking. ( Some how I missed this on the BBC ;-) )

LONDON: Immigrants to the UK occupy one in every 15 homes in the country, an official report has said, with experts predicting that four out of every ten new homes will be snapped up by migrants in the future.

Figures compiled for the British government's Migration Impact Forum, which is studying the strain placed on the UK by the record number of arrivals from overseas, showed that immigrants occupy one in every 15 homes in the country.

However, the total, which is the first to be produced by Whitehall, does not include migrants who have since been granted British citizenship. Experts predict that four out of every ten new homes will be snapped up by migrants in the future.

To cut a long story short - Gordon and Labour's plans to concrete over the south of Tory voting England are really for the benefit of foreigners who haven't yet arrived. They will no doubt retort with some spin on a border force with powers like the police ( misleading you into thinking its a police force - they love doing that it goes to the heart of their basic dishonesty ).

Exactly who does the UK government exist for exactly ?

Labour consider abolishing the professional middle class

The BBC reports that Labour is thinking of dropping the requirement for EU labour to be shown to not be available for jobs over about £40,000 a year.

If you think the fight for jobs with junior Doctors is bad because of immigration then you've seen nothing yet if this goes through.

It will destroy - I repeat - destroy the UK IT and software professions. Engineering, even finance. The only people who will be safe are lawyers and public sector workers ( ie Labour's middle class supporters ). [ It has been pointed out that not all lawyers and civil servants support Labour - OK I accept that, but they are still the only ones whose jobs are safe.]

This idea is insane.

British jobs for British workers? More New Labour lies.

Why isn't it government policy to support a replacement birth rate ?

The state is happy to lecture us on our beliefs, life style, recycling, how much wine Boris Johnston is allowed to drink etc. So why is there no government policy to encourage a replacement birth rate ?

Too often you hear the immigration will make up the difference line.

Does anyone really want this policy ? Why can't we have a policy of encouraging a higher birth rate that will give a stable population ?

I some times fear that the left is really racist and hates the inhabitants of this country and would rather see them all die out. I'm going to call this passive racism - why should the left get to make all the Newspeak anyway ? ( Yes - I can think of why, but soon they'll rearrange the dictionary to make that impossible.)

( Context: The BBC reports birth rate up to 1.87 from 1.8 - both below replacement levels. But argues it won't continue for long as this is mostly female graduates from the 80's having kids, who's education delayed there choice to have a family. )

Update: What the BBC doesn't tells us is that one fifth of the increase is from mothers born abroad. See the Daily Telegraph here. They go on to remind us that Mohammed is about to become the most popular boys name in the UK.

Now why would the BBC omit that fact, but go on to emphasise older female graduates being mothers later ? Do they think we live in some strage reality where the truth becomes whatever they tell us ?

IMHO: The BBC only tells us what they think we should hear and know so as to agree with them.

Immigration threat to our status as a nation

Civitas is being reported here (by the Press Association) as saying the the UK may already have reached a tipping point where it is no longer a nation but a collection of nations.

Now of course the UK is made up of 4 nations ( the home nations). But the debate over who the English are perhaps shows this up. I believe of people ( often called communities - mini-Nations perhaps ) are unsettled by the potential break up of the UK as they don't feel English, but they are happy with a British identity.

We are storing up great trouble for ourselves in the future, by the lazy failure to address this issue now.

What happened to the former Yugoslavia should have been a warning to us all.
