Labour can be in NATO and have Nuclear weopons or surrender with Corbyn and its time to decide

Well that's done it. I don't think the media has fully realise what Jeremy Corbyn has just done - because I haven't heard it from any of the commentators yet.

Here's the thing the UK holds nuclear weapons as a deterrent against Nuclear attack or Nuclear black mail by other states or actors.

That deterrent only works if your enemies think you'll use it.

Its quite clear that if the phone rang and the chief of the defence staff phoned Prime Minister Corby to say a nation had launched a massive nuclear attack against the UK that Mr Corbyn wouldn't authorise a reprisal. ( Or at least the attacker could reasonably expect this ).

That means Trident is useless if Corbuyn is PM - regardless of if you renew it or keep it. The Labour party can pretend otherwise and I'm sure some of the cowardly New Labour types will try to do this.

Also ... NATO is a Nuclear Alliance. France and the United States back every other member with their Nuclear weapons - as currently does the UK. If a Corbyn administration won't use the UK's few where the morality on relying on the US to use theirs and trade US Cities defending UK cities ? Are US Trident submarines more moral than UK ones ?

Clearly Corbyn can't stay in NATO.

There are plenty of people in Labour who said they were committed to NATO and the UK's nuclear deterrent. There is almost no more important policy.

Those people must now either depose Corbyn or leave Labour, and if they want to avoid looking like Claire Short then they don't have much time to decide in.

Cameron's utter and total contempt for democarcy is clearly shown in redefining marriage

So like a thief in the night the bill to redefine marriage slouches towards Westminster again waiting to destroy marriage and impose the fascist view of family life that Clegg and Cameron support. The Frankfurt school of humanity hating socialists can only celebrate their luck.

The full horror of a free country turned into a fearful place where none dare speak for the concern that the state enforcement authorities will take their business, money, job and even children will soon be a reality in England.

And all this under what sort of government ? One that calls itself conservative ....

Given the fact that Cameron knows this is pure poison to the Conservative party he's decided to steam roll the bill through, crushing dissent and doing his best not to even mention what is going on ( Where was it in the Queen's speech ? ). It is the true measure of the man the dark and cowardly way he is redefining the marriages of everyone in this land in violation of all of our history and morality.

It is also why the Conservative party is never going to hear the end of this issue, regardless of how much they may wish they could.

The culture wars have begun with a shot in the back to the conservative movement ...

The age of pussyfoot

This is the title of a science fiction novel by Fredrick Pohl that foresees a lot about our current culture and even technologies, written in 1969.

I read it as a teenager and I can see certain aspects that are key to our current predicament.

Fear and cowardice are becoming our greatest enemies and are becoming toxic when combined with the loss of a moral basis for society provided by the UK's Christian heritage.

Today many on the left don't believe the catastrophic financial position Brown and Labour have placed us in, and are happy to continue the political tactic of the narrative, spin lies and deceit ( witness Ed Balls). A few more on the left know full well, but are plotting the downfall of our society and this is all very good for them.

Labour are lying directly and mercilessly to peoples faces about our current state, and many of the people believe them because they are scared or ignorant ( ignorance is always Labour's best seam to mine for support ).

The question is what will the response be ? There are broadly two options (as shown on last night's Newsnight), the Danny Finkelstein (aka Ted Heath) approach which appeals to our inner coward or the John Redwood (think Thatcherite) approach which we know may lose us the election and requires bravery. If we go with Danny and the SDP then we are doomed, because our fears will overcome us. Winning the election will be a Pyrrhic victory.

In "The age of pussyfoot" due to the threat of war many people chose to put themselves into suspended animation to hide from the threat, they have too much to lose and a sort of combination of a tragedy of the commons and cowardice nearly leads to defeat.

Today people grasp at Red Toryism and the fact that every key budget that people might be frightened of a change in can be ring fenced whilst magic pixie dust of future growth will save the day. I don't believe it will.

If we are over whelmed by this crisis is will be because people are not yet brave enough to listen to what they don't want to hear. The grimmer worm-tongues of the left whisper in people ears messages about "vital services", neglecting to tell the nation how truly weak we have become, so when the real crisis arrives they can deliver us to their masters.

It might even be better to lose the next election than to win it without a clear plan and mandate to save our country.

Labour praying for a Yes vote in Ireland so they don't have to face a vote in the UK

I've just seen this tweet from Claire Hazelgrove a London based Labour candidate for Skipton & Ripon:

I bet you are Claire. After all your party betrayed its election manifesto to give the UK a referendum, and doesn't want the people of Britain getting is democratic rights from an incoming Conservative administration. ( Yes we've heard all the weasel worlds about treaties not constitution, but even the Labour MP who helped form the constitution admits they are the same ).

Labour are running scared of any votes they can't fix.

And to show how serious Nanny is about her authority in the future she's getting rid of one of her last few Ballistic Subs and celebrating the extra diversity of the G20 where people will have to listen to her even less.

Your a very naughty boy Mr Ahmadinejad and if your don't do what Nanny says then she will be really cross and issue even more strong and highly serious sanctions and condemnations ( and perhaps release a few more convicted mass murders and cancel any unfortunate investigations into the cold blooded murder of a policewoman on the streets of London by a terrorist power ).

Gordon Brown's new line to evade responsibility

The "C" word has been uttered. Brown has been dragged back from his extensively long holiday to be forced to admit some of reality, but of course he's not admitting his responsibility for it.

The new plan, which seems only likely to convince him ( perhaps this sort of self delusion is necessary to keep his mental health together ) is to say the G20 should coordinate cuts.

And it gets better - he even says the IMF should advise countries on how to make cuts ! ( Of course they'll be doing more than advising if Labour by some national disaster were to survive the next general election. )

Can you imagine it. Apparently for all the vast sums of tax payers money spent on our government and its civil service they still can't make a decision without advice ! ( Of course they can - or at least the professional half of that group can - but the politicians fear responsibility most of all ).

So here we see the usual Gordon Brown character flaws - evading decisions and shirking responsibility.

But the cost to us of this has been massive, and continues to be so for each day that the pretend nothing needs to be done budget deficit runs. the sums of money borrowed in each house holds name just for the personal career of Gordon Brown and his cowardly Labour cronies is absolutely staggering.

Soon we will hear "The cuts started in America and are global", and "we are following the plan agreed at the G20" as Brown tries to evade responsibility one last time.

It occurs to me that Labour are making the same mistake over terrorism that they made over the Soviet threat. The common root is their response to fear which is based on inner cowardice.

People are rightly angry. Its no good career Labour student politics junkies thinking of the next clever way to stay in power and live their parasitic lives of our country.

Teachers to get pay cut

Gordon the con-artist has set up the Aunt Sally of 2% for pay increases, but as we know inflation is at over 4% (real world RPI - not in Gordon's magic fairy land New Labour CPI).

So roughly the teachers are getting a 1.55% pay cut in real terms this year and potentially bigger cuts in the years to follow ( as they have to accept the risk of varying inflation rates over the three years.)

Now I can't really complain about cutting back the state sector - it certainly needs doing. But I'll just point out the cowardice, spin a deception used by Gordon Brown and the Labour government ( and faithfully reported by the -as ever pro-Labour- BBC as a good pay rise ).

Remember private sector pay rises are averaging 4%, and RPI inflation ( including things you actually have to pay for unlike CPI ) is 4% (link is live - so will be update RPI inflation reported as 4% for Dec 07).

Public sector pensions are doomed, but Gordon will deceive as long as possible

As with a number of things the current Labour government has shown cowardice in the face of action clearly required for the good of the country.

This fact goes to show how unsustainable public sector pensions are:

In 2009 the average private sector worker will be paying more for civil servant pensions than for their own. ( See Matthew Elliot on Centre Right blog).

Now Gordon Brown has done his best to maximise the pay roll vote by massively increasing the numbers of civil servants, but even their votes surely can't contend with this fact.

At the same time that Gordon Brown has mortgaged the future of many private sector workers with his ten billion pounds a year stealth tax on their pensions ( showing further his signature of cowardice as the effect isn't going to be fully noticed until well after Brown and his fellow New Labour parasites are enjoying their spectacular pensions guaranteed by the state. )

Remember Brown making the naked self interest decision before the last election of letting many civil servants retire at 60 still - when many of the rest of us will now die before we can draw our pensions ( but we will have paid for the civil servants ones anyway ! ).

Maybe this is part of David Cameron's plan to close the MP's pension scheme and replace it with a defined contributions scheme like the rest of us have to use.

One thing is sure - the current situation is unsustainable and many public servants who are now day dreaming of cruises and round the world trips paid for by poor private sector pensioners are going to be rudely disappointed as a massive realignment of public sector pensions is inevitable.
