Labour are not going to handle defeat very well

We have Gordon trying to storm out of TV interviews only to be held back by his microphone. Peter Madelson is reported to swear at a New International Executive. Harriet Harman makes jokes about briefs on page 3 models and finally nutty Trade Unionist ripping up a copy of The Sun on the stage and Labour supporters run anti-Sun adverts on Google.

If they get this upset about a newspaper endorsement how are they going to handle being thrown out of office ?

Frankly I don't see the good nature of the likes of Michael Portillo in 1997 being repeated by Labour types.

There are going to be a massive series of temper tantrums as all their toys have to be taken away from them, and it won't be pretty.

The case for sacrificing our soldiers and burning our money in Afghanistan is getting thinner by the day

It appears that the Americans may well have had enough of Hamid Karzai*. If so given there has been one British casualty for every vote from the area captured from the Taliban in the so called panther claw assault its time to start wondering (again) what is going on ?

There is no leadership from our government, accept to try not to make decisions and to hide critical reports on MOD equipment procurement.

If there is no objective that is achievable in a near time scale (say 1-3 years) then Afghanistan fails the Just War test as a no brainer ....

The Labour government need to start doing some explaining very quickly indeed.

The English public will not put up with much more of this ( David Cameron take note ).

PS As I mentioned a few days ago - it may be that the reasons for the war haven't been shared with us as our current political leaders don't think we would accept them, but the "War on Terrorism" meme is easier to push.

The fury is building

The Sun has truly set on Gordon. Never mind Cherie Blair, Frank Field, Lord Levy or Charles Clarke.

Read Trevor Kavanagh in the Sun, hat tip to Conservative home for flagging it up. The dam which has been holding back the fury of the public has burst. Now a major popular paper is explaining in clear terms what Labour has done to our country.

On this basis Labour is doomed.
