Are we losing the war in Afganistan and not being told ?

The First post reports that President Karzai is talking to the Taliban who now control over 50% of the country.

This is a radically different line than we are getting from the BBC, other media and our part time defence secretary Des Browne.

Is it true ? If so we are being lied to on a scale equivalent to the WMD in Iraq and men are dying in Afghanistan for no good reason linked to the benefit of the United Kingdom ( maybe only Labour party politicians ).

This is a very serious issue ....
