The darkness at the heart of the Labour party

Two bits of news this weekend paint a very disturbing picture of the Labour party and the allied movements that act as its fellow-travellers.

First of all the scandal over Falkirk is deepening, as it becomes obvious that Labour were complict in the subversion of one of its local branches as part of the entryism camapign that took place there. See Dan Hodges.

And there is the scarcely believable behaviour and character of the former chair man of the Coop bank ( Labour's bank to whom they owe a very large amount of money ).

The second case is perhaps the more serrious as its reasonable to expect many more in Labour's heirachy to know about the Coop banks former chairman, and have descided to keep quiet. Is there a secret elvel in the Labour party of people who share this sort of information and are bound together by it ?

PS Image if this had been UKIP - you'd have been having to tranquillise Guardian and BBC journalists just to calm them down enough to type.

Don't get me started on the evil of Unite's leverage campaign.

The debt really is they key defining point of our politics these days - and yet all we get is misdirection from the likes of Clegg on the subject ...

I'm starting to wonder if default isn't something that needs to be considered - as I've said before we should question why we stand behind our politicians borrowing ...

Here's yet more proof of the fallacy of employing people because of their gender and quotas. Labour really needs a half competent deputy leader.

Brown is coming close to abondoning his electoral candidates to cling to power

Its almost unbelievable but Labour are so desperate to cling to power that they are now undermining their own candidates in a desperate attempt to damage the country by creating a hung parliamnet.

And its not just Lord Adonis, but Gordon Brown himself.

I'm almost feeling sorry for Labour candidates in much of England. ( Of course in much of England they can't even get local council candidates, let alone votes ! )

The gap between the cans and cannots has grown unacceptably big

This morning Man in a Shed would like to reveal the results of a survey he commissioned himself about 10 seconds ago into government which has revealed some shocking results:

The gap between those who can run a successful government and those who have demonstrated they cannot is now at unacceptably high levels.

It is now clear that Labour cannot do the following:

1. Tell the truth about taking the country to war and hold a proper inquiry right after it ( but the Conservatives could ).
2. Run the economy - the appalling 0.1% growth figures after staggering amounts of debt have been run up to support it show this. Labour's failure to identify the structural deficiet and bubble they were running will have desperate consequences for all in society for decades to come.
3. Run an education system. Instead they try to fix the results by even trying to tell employers who to employ. Perhaps they shouldn't have destroyed standards in education with their worse than useless initiatives.
4. Run a government - there are queues of civil servants now waiting to dump on the disorganised chaos that is caused by the shallow talent pool Labour fishes for minister and leaders in.

But I know a man who Cam ....
