Dispathes from the real world

On Sunday I was talking to family friends. These people are just the sort of floating voters who all the parties target. They have values, but not strong political loyalty, and they think for themselves.

They are middle class and use private and state education, and are employed in the state & private sectors.

The subject of the squeeze came up and I discovered they were wondering if they wouldn't have been better of under Labour.

Of course they wouldn't, but I report this as its the result of failing to control costs in the state sector and the constant talk of higher taxes made by Lib Dems.

I was asked who would win the next election - and I had to say that some of the smart money was starting to move towards Labour.

This is the result of the war against the middle class and middle England being conducted from 10 Downing street - in financial and moral terms middle England is being hung out to dry. Higher taxes - the abolition of marriage - the refusal to stand up to the EU.

This is all going to end in  tears unless the Conservatives get a grip very shortly.

PS My hosts also reported from the wonderland of public sector employment saying that the public sector people they knew had no idea of the pressure the private sector people were under.

It's not just middle England that the ConDems are shafting it's the whole of England. It seems that the Tories are in denial about who voted for them. They deserve to be voted straight out of power. Sadly Labour are likely to push ahead with their disgusting 'regions' project which will almost certainly lead to violence.

Can't add a single word to that.
