Admiral Sir Alan West takes Gordon Brown's shilling.

Admiral Sir Alan West (retired) is joining Gordon Brown's government which in its previous incarnation has been underfunding the services whilst lots of our young soldiers and airmen are dying ( and the Navy losing iPods ) .

He will no doubt have to join the Labour party -if he hasn't already.

Just the fig leaf Gordon needs.
