Postal votes should become available for exceptional circumstances only (again)

Labour have been caught by the Sunday Times in Leeds organising activities with postal votes than one person admits to being illegal.

Read the article - and remember that Labour introduced wide spread postal voting. That everyone said it was insecure - except for them - and that most people expect them to profit from it.

In short NuLabour has undermined democracy for its own selfish reasons.

But there is no room for complacency. The temptations and pressure on hard working party workers (of whatever colour) are great. The mistake has been to allow temptation to be put in their way ! Lets be clear this is entirely the Labour governments fault, they knew it might happen - then more recently it has been demonstrated to happen and they are letting it happen again. ( I hesitate to blame the Labour party as I'm sure many of its members are as horrified as I am about what is being reported in The Sunday Times. )

Oddly enough no mention of this issue on the BBC web site just now - how very BBC.
