What Dr Naseem said - and what he could have said ...

As reported in the Daily Telegraph, Dr Naseem the chairman of Birmingham Central Mosque said:

This unfortunate country is moving towards a police state - the laws being passed are wrong and against the traditions of this country,”

What I wish he'd said is:

This unfortunate country is moving towards a police state - the laws being passed are wrong and against the traditions of this our country,”

Incidentally: David Cameron has come out to criticise Dr Naseem for his comments on policing in the UK here.

I don't think the police know which way to turn, who to try and please, afraid of offending one segment of society.
