Dispatches: Shia murder squads

Just watching the end of this weeks Dispatches (C4 - UKTV) programme.

Its really horrifying.... the nearest thing I can think of is oppression by Stalin, Mao or the Nazis.

If this is the truth of Iraq then it would be better to arrange for partition where at least Sunnis, Shia, Kurds and other minorities like Christians could live in security.

Ethnic cleansing it might be, but there's slow burn genocide going on right now.

How will the American surge change things ? I worry it will be not at all unless they are going to seperate what have become mortal enemies.
