With deepest sorrow

There are occasionally incidents that exceed the usual numbing news stream of disaster, accidents and crime.

The coach crash in Switzerland involving so many children all from the same part of Belgium is one of them.

If you have a moment pray for the parents, friends and people of Lommel and Heverlee who will have awoken to horror this morning, and those children and adults who have survived.

PS Someone in the department that covers Swiss roads might like to take a look at the section of wall at 90' to the flowing traffic and ask who come that was allowed. I hope others are frantically checking that our tunnels do not have that sort of design in them.
