Brown has either been incompetent or he's a traitor

Guido has a video from an Economist who tried to stop the current asset bust and debt spiral. It is well worth watching - as are the comments worth reading that Guido receives on his post.

I see two explanations for Brown's performance over the last 11 years:

1) Incompetence.
2) Treason.

As I have said in comments elsewhere 2 cannot just be ruled out. Is it so hard to believe that the Brown and Darling still hold their youthful beliefs ? That all they have learnt is that they will never get elected to carry those beliefs into policy and action - so they have deceived, spun and hidden their true objectives ?

Even now Brown just lies and misleads straight to peoples faces.
