What's the left up to ?

Back from my hols and the news is all economic gloom, especially in loyal left wing flat earth type papers. Now that's a bit suspect.

So what are the lefties up to ? Could it be over egging the coming recession so that Not Flash just Gordon looks good with his Fuhrer counter offensive in Sept ?

Too late and too tired to sort this one out just now after being left on Lille Station for two hours by Eurostar as they tried to figure out how to operate their trains so the doors open, but a subject to watch.
