Is today Tony Blair's tipping point ?
Tony Blair needed David Cameron to get his Education Bill past its first hurdle today ( given the instinctive hatred of 'the Tories' in may Labour MP's this is not good ( for Mr Blair )). But the truly shocking event of the day concerns in Labour Party funding where the Party treasurer is claiming he didn't know about the Loans from private individuals - nor ( perhaps more damagingly ) where they were spent.
I would expect Labour to try to widen the field of blame ( general enquiry into all party funding - state funding etc ) to take the heat off. But perhaps the trail on this one will start an avalanche of other issues internal to the Labour Party. This is an explosive situation.
