EU Lifts British beef Export Ban

The BBC reports that the British Beef Export ban is to be lifted by the EU. Could this be related to the need for France and other European countries to export Chicken products after Bird Flue and Bird Flue vaccinations ? Can't have the precedent of bias against Brit cows on the statute books can we ?
