Lesson from History - for the French

I was a bit concerned on my way to Euro Disney with some frog historians trying to rewrite the history on Agincourt ( with a suitably pro-French explanation for why they got hammered. Leave it alone froggies - the history's fine the way we (the winners) wrote it ;-) ).

But the following link from the Anglo Saxon Chronicle on French military history has restored my sense of balance ....

PS Needless to say there is absolutely no way the UK should have anything to do with an EU Army.

For the correct English operating procedure for defeat of the French see below:

When you've got Brian Blessed on your side what could go wrong ?

Welcome President of the cheese eating surrender monkeys !

The French are over on a charm offensive - which of course means they must want something.

The fact they feel the need to be nice before asking must mean its very much against our interests.

My guess more EU surrendering to be done .... now where's my long bow ?

Update: Sarkozy is asking for us to trust the French more. "Trust me I'm a Frenchman" doesn't ring true to me.

Remember the last time we trusted the French - to reform CAP in exchange for us giving up our EU budget rebate ? Brown should ( if he wasn't such a coward ) ask for them to make good on their existing promises.

The no brainer election in France - which could be a problem

Television France 24 is wondering what the world thinks of their Presidential election:

My guess is that the Royal woman is better looking than the bloke with the big nose, but the big nose should win as he actually seems to learnt the lessons of the last 20 years.

Its a no brainer really as Ms Royal has already shown herself to be unable to handle any form of responsibility, and is even more of an air head when it comes to socialism and France's need to get its act together.. However it is France she's running in - so maybe she has a chance after all !

Anyway here goes the free advertising - if you have a camera and some time please feel free to go and make some fun of the French with Man in a Shed's blessing ...

They have yet to work out what Mrs T was on about all those years ago ...
