Little learnt

Like everyone else I'm deeply saddened by events in Woolwich, though I'd have to say not surprised.

I'm reassured by the bravery of those who went to help.

But I'm afraid officialdom's response is the most depressing. Everyone is falling over themselves not to mention the obvious. We need to find out where the evil religion of these two men is rooted and pull it out of the earth that nourishes it and place it on the bonfire where it's adherents ultimately wind up anyway.

Its just no good saying that these people didn't understand. They understood just fine - and we have to face up to that.
Its time we openly challenged their beliefs and creed.

When evil strikes

Just as with the Brighton Bomb, evil has found its way into a man's heart (and perhaps others) and allowed him to do unspeakable things in Norway yesterday.

We live in a political world and it will be hard for many to resist making political points, or even religious ones that are more based on their own agenda and opportunism than the facts of the events.

My advise to the Norwegians is this: treat this as a criminal act. Pursue those involved as you would criminals. Apply justice without fear or favour. ( Some of the great mistakes in the UK were made when we let our fury at these crimes overcome the implementation of proper justice - for example the Guildford four [ though as with many of these things the original victims of the pub bombings somehow get forgotten in the follow on court cases. I've drunk in one of the pubs concerned.] )

It is only by treating terrorism as a crime that sufficient disgust with the idea will become accepted by the far reaches of our societies were it can breed.

I've already heard the opposite approach on the BBC this morning and seen some individuals who have over stepped the mark this morning.

Lets stay focused and determined here.

Norway is one of my favourite countries, I've been there on holiday a number of times and can remember being shocked at how easy it was to walk up to key buildings in Oslo. I hope they can make the necessary changes without changing their wonderful character of their country.

There must be terrible grief in so many families today, and nothing I can say here will help them, but we can hold the line against political violence and help deter any future criminal acts.

Denis MacShane is right on Islamists and terror

Denis MacShane has an important article on facing up to what is the real cause of the current wave of terror - Islamism. Read it here ...

He has a point in his criticism of David Cameron saying we shouldn't use the word Islamist. But it is of course nothing compared to his own party's Mayor Livingstone's excuses.

However - I also maintain that the weakness we have shown against terrorism in Northern Ireland and Spain has shown in Madrid/Iraq has helped to encourage these psychopaths.

Where do the terrorists come from ? Answer they are cultivated.

It appears Jihadi Mouse has been killed off - beaten to death by an Israeli agent. Have a look at the link - even Al Beeb can't hide the bigotry.

You couldn't make this stuff up - but the Islamicists can.

Ignor Livingstone - less understanding, more action on Terror !

Ken Livingston no doubt has a theory about how this is all caused by white oppression. The BBC says the government is dealing with this as a criminal matter - I have to say that doesn't seem likely.

There may be casualties. Two men escaped the fire and were tackled by some brave men who prevented their escape.

More on this latter no doubt ...

By the way by more action I don't mean 90 days detention without justification just as Labour tried to give the impression of doing something, but without foundations.

Time to stop the Spin Gordon and do your job, pass that on to what's her name who's Home Sec.

BBC still saying they're treating it as a criminal matter - still doesn't seem like it to me. I wonder what they know ? Now they are mentioning the possibility of an earlier collision.

Update: Just seen an eye witness on TV describing how one of the two occupants who was covered in flames attacked a policeman who tried to help him shouting Allah Allah.

So that'll be the religion of peace again I suppose.

Further Update:
It now appears the Scottish police have diagnosed this as terrorism - whatever could have led them to that idea ? ( However - full marks for bravery to the officer who had to confront these lunatics ! )

Good news: The police report a lot of cooperation from the communities - which is code of course, but very good news.

The cost of appeasement at Madrid and Munich

With two car bombs found in London we must send the Spanish people and government a big thank you for their craven cowardice in giving in to Al Qaeda after their psychopathic bomb outrage.

Now the little Jihadi nutcases have got it into their heads that the west is weak and will give in to threats, just as Adolf Hitler (whom they admire so much) was encouraged by appeasement. We know what the end result of that is.

We need to expect the long hall here. Less press coverage - it just encourages them. More quiet resolve to finish the disease that the Devil has planted in the minds of so many mislead young men.

Bombing the East end of London didn't win the war for Hitler. My Grandfather would tell you stories of throwing himself to the ground at least three times on average on your way to work when the V1's came over. My mother of evacuation. They never stopped, neither will we.

This doesn't mean we should use up our troops up in Iraq and Afghanistan when local troops - if they are ever to be adequate - should now be able to hold the ring. If they can't then a more traditional form of warfare may ultimately be required against the source of the infection that pains the world so much.

If it comes to it then let there be an end to asymmetric warfare - but only as an absolute last resort. But if we rule it out then ultimately we may make it inevitable.

Many tell us that this is not real Islam, but the version these terrorists claim to follow has a clear roadmap for eventual domination. Links with encouraging honour killings in the UK were in the MSM recently, terror plays its part, as does the never ending stream of concession demanded of their host society and the setting up of parallel sharia courts in the UK. We should recognise these things for what they tell us they are. ( There may be many, even a majority, of people of good character and intentions involved in some of these things - but they are all being used to the same end. Just as Hamas and Hezbollah used such issues to take control of their various areas.)

I know there are many - I hope the vast majority - of Muslims who renounce this coercion and violence, but I'm concerned about those who don't and plant bombs. Just as the vast majority of Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland reject the psychopathic violence that existed there during the troubles.

PS One of my wife's work colleagues son was in Tiger Tiger last night. Brings the evil home doesn't it.

Update: Ken Livingston was on R4 this morning campaigning for himself telling us not to demonize Muslims ( he then goes on to demonize the white working class ). Yet again he shows how he is unfit for office.

I wonder what Gordon Brown and his new Home Sec (who ? ) think of this ? They will as usual put party before country and not comment is my guess.
