What about English identity ?

There's a good post over at the Britology blog which explores Is there such a thing as ‘multi-cultural England’?

PS I've been trying to figure out who the Steadfast Trust are and who's behind them. I note the Wikipedia entry got the chop. Anyone know ?

The BBC doesn't want to draw you attention to why this family was murdered

Was just wondering over to Michelle Malkin's blog to see how the 18DT "A World without America" and I came across the following which shocked me as I hadn't picked up on it. ( Michelle got it via the Daily Telegraph - so perhaps I should have picked it up.)

Compare the BBC version
(Title "Man killed family in house arson") which has the reason for the murder hidden away with the Telegraph's version (Title "Father killed family for being too western"). BBC Bias - you bet.

A father killed his wife and four daughters in their sleep because he could not bear them adopting a more westernised lifestyle, an inquest heard yesterday.

Mohammed Riaz, 49, found it abhorrent that his eldest daughter wanted to be a fashion designer, and that she and her sisters were likely to reject the Muslim tradition of arranged marriages.

On Hallowe'en last year he sprayed petrol throughout their terraced home in Accrington, Lancs, and set it alight.

Caneze Riaz, 39, woke and tried to protect her three-year-old child, Hannah, who was sleeping with her, but was overcome by fumes. Her other daughters, Sayrah, 16, Sophia, 13, and Alisha, 10, died elsewhere in the house.

And lets not forget the real event of a family murdered as they tried to integrate and fit in to our society. (May they rest in peace.)
