The Gordon event horizon must be soon ....

On my way down to my shed I was just thinking up a post on the subject of the last point in time that Brown could realistically be replaced as Labour leader. I thought it must be about now - the Gordon event horizon.

I, like I suspect many other Conservative supporters and probably politicians, have been pullling my punches on Brown. After all we don't want him replaced, just defeated.

I thought we must be now crossing the point on commitment for Labour when they have to go with Gordon - the Gordon event horizon.

But now rumours are going wild that one last coup plot is on the cards.

Surely its too late - or is it ?

I suspect it's too late, and that these rumours will be nothing more than lots of huffing and puffing and not much else.

Still, at least it's good to see Labour approaching the election with disunited in their ranks.

Not long to go now...

Nothing will halt the Brown machine now, not even resignations. He has his blinkers on and his lies on the tip of his tongue.

I'd love him to get the boot as he deserves the humiliation. I suspect however that he'll limp on.

The good news is that a coup might just happen. The bad news is that he will be replaced by Mandelson. The worse news is that Mandelson will make Brown Chanellor of the Exchequer.
