The BNP party election broadcast last night

Purely by accident I ended up watching this after the news last night .

Nick Griffin should be glad he's not a contestant on the Apprentice, because he'd get fired for that performance.

The BNP managed to look shifty, amateur and sinister all at the same time. (Quite an achievement.)

Given what they must have spent getting enough Council candidates to get that broadcast you've got to wonder what they were thinking.

The good news is I would expect that broadcast to make a number of people tempted to vote for them to kick the government think again.

Achievement indeed! Nick Griffin's body language is one of shifting carcass, which I have taken to mean "I've got something to hide". Gordon Brown has a similar hulking gait when coming on stage, seemingly moving as if his head is not attached to his body.

Whilst these two are in no way to be compared politically, Nature has a way of declaring the deceivers!

I agree it was an utter shambles!

However, you may or may not be aware that the original Party Election Broadcast was scrapped at the last minute by the BBC, thus forcing the BNP to piece together a new, rushed broadcast.

There is no similarity between the English Democrats and the BNP other than they are both small parties but you might find this of interest:

I saw the UKIP one. It was not at all bad. The bit on immigration seemed a little fascist, but otherwise did not seem too mad at all.

If the BNP were forced again to re shot their broadcast and it didn't break any laws then I think I'm rather worried.

Its not the BBC's job to do this !

Wyrdtimes - watched the English Democrats Youtube - which was fine as far as it went but really failed to address the point of either of the two election in June.

On UKIP the surprise may be their strong performance, despite having a less than clean image on expenses themselves.

I've heard Conservative party members mutter they are going to vote UKIP in the Euroelections.

Add to that the possibility that UKIP may be the lightning conductor of choice for the general population and Labour coming 4th in the Euro elections has to start looking possible.
