Snow - heaviest snow fall in Surrey for 20 yrs
Now my apologies to those in parts of the world where this is normal - but in England we like to get all worked up about the sort of snow fall you have every day.
For everyone else - wow ... this is by far the most snow I've seen since living in Surrey.
The kids have just heard the news that School is closed and now their joy is complete !
I'm just wondering if the Ocado delivery is going to make it ? Frankly I wouldn't blame them if they gave up on the day.
After a coffee or two it will be snow man time !
PS If your reading this in Woking - a number of schools have been closed. Might be worth phoning through before frog marching offspring to the school gate.
Updates: 25cm of snow on a garden table and of course the Shed !

Hello, has Ocado turned up? I'm awaiting mine, and wondering if they will make it.
Not yet - they are due between 10 and 11 - frankly they will have done a stirling job if the deliver anything. ( No phone call to say they're not coming though, and normally they would let you know ).
Jessica, I'm told Ocado have phoned to say they aren't going to make the delivery on time and will need to see how the day pans out.
The road outside has been gritted, but is still an ice rink, so I can see they will have a problem.
Mine wasn't due until this evening, however I have had notice already that unfortunately the delivery must be cancelled. Oh well, they can't be perfect all the time, and i can't put any blame on them for this one.

Why does this country grind to a halt every time we get a bit of snow then?
Ocado have just phoned to give up on the day. No surprise really.
Curly - I guess the answer here is that we're just not used to it.
Though I have to say I love a day like this with the snow and the silence ( lack of traffic and snow muffling the sound ).
Now the only question is what shall we eat ?
What the hell are cm ?
Or to put it another way just under 10 inches.

The order has been delivered - without frozen items ironically enough.
Just shows - you deliver when your not paid if you don't !
