Greece suffered very badly during the last world war. They also had a civil war and more Greeks killed Greeks than Germans.

I should have added he was my great Uncle.

Just reading Max Hastings Armageddon right now, which just leaves me with a lasting thankfulness that I've never been involved in such a war and that others did their duty to make that possible.

Elle - I think British soldiers also died in that civil war. But Churchill at least saved Greece and maybe Turkey from Stalin, no thanks to Roosevelt.

Remember also the beloved brothers and sons who gave their lives in WW2, the Falklands along with men continuing to lose their lives in current war zones ... especially those despatched on the basis of Blair's lies.
