I bet Labour wished they'd run the Apprentice to chose their leader

In years to come people will marvel at how it was that Gordon Brown managed to capture the leadership of the Labour party, and by virtue of breaking Tony Blair's promise to serve a full term, to be appointed quasi-President (because that's how Labour leaders now behave) of the UK.

What is instead they had run an apprentice style competition. Can anyone imagine Gordon Brown surviving the board room? ( He can't manage a straight answer to any question in PMQs - you can almost hear Sir Alan saying "what is it you do, because I see nothing from you but talk ?).

Next time lefties try and have a bit of free market competition when you chose a leader ;-)
