David Davis should invite John McCain over to defend the Magna Carta

Just a wild thought, but why not ? They are both men who know their own minds, and have strong personal views on liberty and freedom. It could be a master stroke for McCain.

The Americans regard the Magna Carta as a key document for their liberty also, in many ways the US came about because its English people demanded liberty and justice and wouldn't out up with the British state denying them that.

Obama might be interested as well ...

PS The other Dave should lead PMQs next week with what plans the government has to ~~bury~~ caught celebrate the Magna Carta with a national holiday. That should make the coward Brown squirm.
