The eleventh minute of the eleventh hour

Just back from our churches remembrance day service. The young lad who plays the last post is really getting a lot better.

The Vicar gave a good sermon on the need to resist evil.

There are ex-Servicemen from the Second World War in attendance ( some whom we only see on this day each year ), but what is really telling is the vastly longer list of Great War dead remembered on the war memorial. The shear scale of the disaster of the first world war is hard to take in.

As well as remembering, let me add my thanks to our servicemen and women what they have done and continue to do. I'm sorry about their political masters, and will do what I can to remove them - as my contribution to resisting evil.
