We're all going to die !
I some times wonder if this has really sunk into the political class.
Why am I mentioning this ?
We'll is the decision by the liberal media (aka BBC etc) to have a go at middle class drinkers - as bad as binge drinkers - so there you can't point figures now can you ?
Know I know alcohol causes a lot of misery in peoples lives, but it also lightens up many.
In truth I don't mind the warning - why not, perhaps many of us do drink too much - its the continual nagging (drinking, weight, smoking, exercise, sun/no sun etc) by the media that annoys me.
Its this obsession with living till your old enough to be ignored in a hospital bed lying in your own filth that I find odd.
There won't be many of us having good deaths.
Lets at least have good lives before then. This desire of the government and its think tanks and campaign groups that fly in formation with it to control our lives and convince us all we have some sort of problem is just suffocating.
Declaration of bias: Man in a Shed is a member of CAMRA and used to be in the Scotch Malt Whisky Society - until the cost went too high !
Update: Wat Tyler thinks the research is rubbish anyway - read the following to arm yourself against the agents of the nanny state ....
Bryony Gordon thinks we should avoid growing old also .... not that she needs to worry for quite a while.

We've all got to die of something.
Though I do realise the utter disaster of alcoholism - the alternative of prohibition just didn't work out.
IF you look at how the old and infirm are treated in our society you might view that as the worse thing that can happen to anyone. And we spend all our time trying to arrive at that state.
My guess is Paul is here - can't be all bad as he's a real ale fan ....
